LeDuc Order Limits

Minimum and maximum quantities for Shopify, enforced by checkout itself, so they hold on every theme and with Buy it now and express checkout.

Set up in two minutes

  1. Install the app from the Shopify App Store. The checkout rule switches on automatically.
  2. Click Create limit rule. Set a minimum, a maximum or "sold in multiples of", and choose products, collections, tags, vendors or all products.
  3. Optional: in Order limits, set a minimum or maximum item count or subtotal for every order, and edit the messages shoppers see.
  4. Optional: turn on the Order limits app embed in your theme to show the limits on product pages and set the quantity box.

FAQ

Can shoppers get around the limits?
No. Limits are checked by Shopify's checkout, not only by the theme, so Buy it now, express checkout buttons and edited carts can't skip them.
How are variants counted?
Per product: quantities of all its variants in the cart are added together. For example, "max 2" on a T-shirt allows one small and one large, but not three.
What if two rules cover the same product?
The strictest wins: the highest minimum, the lowest maximum and the largest multiple.
Can I pause the limits?
Yes. One click on the app's home page pauses or resumes checkout enforcement.
