LeDuc Product Options

Custom fields on your Shopify product pages: engraving text, gift notes, dropdowns, color swatches, checkboxes and more. Shoppers fill them in before adding to cart, and their answers appear on the order.

Why it's different

• Fast. The storefront script is about 4 KB, has no dependencies and loads after your page.
• Won't break your theme. It uses a Shopify theme app extension and never edits theme files. Remove the app and it's gone cleanly.
• Works even if you skip setup. Turn on the automatic embed and fields appear above Add to cart, or place the block exactly where you want it.
• Answers always reach the order. Required fields block Add to cart until they're filled in, and Buy it now can be hidden on products with options.

Field types

Text (one or multiple lines), number, date, dropdown, radio buttons, color swatches, a single checkbox and checkbox groups. Each field can be required, have help text and placeholders, and min/max limits. Pro adds show-when conditions, for example showing "Engraving text" only when "Add engraving" is checked.

Plans

Setup in 3 minutes

1. Install the app from the Shopify App Store.
2. Click Create option set, add your fields, and choose which products show them: specific products, collections, tags or all products.
3. On the app's home page, click Turn on automatic embed (or Add block to product page) and save your theme.

Questions

Where do I see the shopper's answers? On the order, under each line item, and in the cart and order confirmation.

Does it work with my theme? It works with Online Store 2.0 themes, including Dawn and other free Shopify themes. If fields don't appear, email us and we'll fix it for your theme.

Can options change the price? Not yet. Paid add-ons are planned.

What happens if I uninstall? The fields disappear from your store. Past orders keep the answers.
