LeDuc Restock Alerts vs Back in Stock (Appikon)

I'm Tyler, and I make LeDuc Restock Alerts. Appikon's Back in Stock is an established app that does more than mine: it sends SMS as well as email, connects to Klaviyo and Mailchimp, and supports multiple languages. Mine does one job, back in stock emails, for one flat price with no monthly email cap on the paid plan. Below is a side-by-side using only what Appikon's own App Store listing says and what my app actually does, so you can pick the one that fits your store.

What theirs does that mine doesn't

If you need any of those, their app is the better choice, and I'd rather tell you that here than have you install mine and find out.

How to switch

  1. Export your subscribers from Back in Stock. Their listing shows "Data export" on Starter and up; if it gives you a CSV, keep that file. If your current app can't export subscribers as CSV, you can still switch, but existing sign-ups won't carry over.
  2. Install LeDuc Restock Alerts and open Subscribers → Import CSV. The file needs the columns email and variant_id, and optionally product_id. Up to 5,000 rows per file; rows already in the app are skipped.
  3. On the app's home page, click Turn it on to enable the Notify me embed, then save your theme.
  4. Turn off Back in Stock's signup form, or uninstall it, so shoppers see only one Notify me button.
