A Tempo alternative for Jira Cloud
If Tempo Timesheets costs more than your team wants to pay, Saguaro Hours for Jira is one option. It does weekly timesheets, team approvals and billable reports at a lower list price. It also does fewer things than Tempo. This page shows the prices, with sources, and the features Saguaro does not have.
Saguaro Hours was submitted to the Atlassian Marketplace on 2026-11-03 and is waiting for approval. To try it early, email tyler@leducsystems.com with the subject "Saguaro early access".
Price by number of Jira users
Monthly list prices in US dollars. Both apps are billed for every user on the Jira license, not only the people who log time. Both charge each band of users at that band's rate.
| Jira users | Tempo Timesheets per month | Saguaro Hours per month | Difference per month | Difference per year (x 12) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | $10.00 | $0.00 | $10.00 | $120.00 |
| 11 | $65.89 | $22.00 | $43.89 | $526.68 |
| 50 | $299.50 | $100.00 | $199.50 | $2,394.00 |
| 100 | $599.00 | $200.00 | $399.00 | $4,788.00 |
| 250 | $1,230.50 | $425.00 | $805.50 | $9,666.00 |
| 500 | $1,728.00 | $675.00 | $1,053.00 | $12,636.00 |
| 1,000 | $2,723.00 | $1,175.00 | $1,548.00 | $18,576.00 |
The per-user rates behind the table:
| Users | Tempo per user per month | Saguaro per user per month |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 10 | $10.00 flat for the site | free |
| 11 to 100 | $5.99 | $2.00 |
| 101 to 250 | $4.21 | $1.50 |
| 251 to 1,000 | $1.99 | $1.00 |
Example, 250 users. Tempo: 100 x $5.99 + 150 x $4.21 = $1,230.50. Saguaro: 100 x $2.00 + 150 x $1.50 = $425.00. Above 10 users, the first band covers users 1 to 100.
Annual subscriptions cost 10 times the monthly price for the user tier you buy. Tempo's published annual totals: 50 users $2,995, 100 users $5,990, 500 users $17,280, 1,000 users $27,230. The same rule gives Saguaro $1,000, $2,000, $6,750 and $11,750. These are computed as 10 x the monthly figures above; the live listing will show Atlassian's figures. See how Jira app pricing works.

Tempo's pricing page says "Your Tempo license size must match your Jira license size" and "A user is anyone who can log into Jira." Saguaro's prices are as entered in its Marketplace listing, which is waiting for approval. Prices change. Check the sources before you decide.
Cost per person who logs time
Many sites have more Jira users than people who log time. The bill does not change, but the cost per person who logs time does. This is the monthly price divided by the people who log time.
| Jira users | People who log time | Tempo per person | Saguaro per person |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | 20 | $29.95 ($599.00 / 20) | $10.00 ($200.00 / 20) |
| 250 | 50 | $24.61 ($1,230.50 / 50) | $8.50 ($425.00 / 50) |

What Saguaro Hours does differently
- Worklogs are normal Jira worklogs, written as the signed-in user. Jira's Work log tab and worklogAuthor searches show them. If you uninstall Saguaro, the worklogs stay in Jira.
- It is built on Atlassian Forge. Its data is kept in Atlassian-hosted storage, and the app declares no outside network access.
- It is free for up to 10 users, with no flat fee.
Moving from Tempo
A Tempo import is planned. It is not available yet, and it has not been tested on a real Tempo export. Do not plan a move around it. If you want to be told when it is ready, say so in your early access email.
