How to add a size chart on Shopify
I'm Tyler, and I make LeDuc Size Charts. The quick answer: you can put a size table on a Shopify page or in a product description by hand, or use an app to show a size chart pop-up on the product page. This page walks through both.
The built-in way
As far as I know, Shopify doesn't have a dedicated size chart feature. The usual built-in ways are:
- Make a page (for example "Size guide"), put a table on it, and link to it from your product pages or menu.
- Paste a table into the product description.
Both work. The downsides are that shoppers leave the product page to read a separate page, a description table has to be copied into every product, and neither gives shoppers a way to switch between inches and centimetres. If you only have one or two products, that may be fine.
With LeDuc Size Charts
- Install the app from the Shopify App Store.
- Click a template (women's tops, men's tops, pants, shoes or rings) and edit the numbers, or paste your own table straight from Excel or Google Sheets.
- Choose where the chart shows: specific products, collections, tags, vendors or your whole store. Save.
- On the app's home page, click Turn on automatic embed and save your theme. A "Size chart" link appears above Add to cart.
- Open a product page and click the link. The chart opens in a pop-up, and shoppers can switch between inches and centimetres with one tap. Ranges like 86-91 convert too.
- If several charts apply to one product, such as sizes and how to measure, they show as tabs in the same pop-up.
