Tempo Timesheets price increase 2026: what it costs your team
Tempo raised its list prices on the Atlassian Marketplace on September 15, 2026. Tempo's announcement puts Timesheets in the group that went up 13 to 15% on Jira Cloud. Existing customers can renew at the old price until November 14, 2026, if they keep the same user tier. After that date, renewals move to the new price.
This page shows the old and new rates, works out what the change means for your user count, and compares both with Saguaro Hours for Jira, the time tracking app I make. Read the comparison with that in mind.
Calculator
Enter the number of users on your Jira Cloud site. Tempo bills every user on the Jira license, not only the people who log time. The calculator runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere.
Monthly list prices in US dollars. Annual is 10 times the monthly price, which is how Atlassian prices annual cloud subscriptions. Negotiated discounts are not included.
Old and new rates
Above 10 users, each band of users is charged at its own rate. Up to 10 users, Timesheets is a flat $10.00 a month for the site, before and after the change.
| Users | Old rate per user per month | New rate per user per month | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 10 | $10.00 flat | $10.00 flat | none |
| 11 to 100 | $5.21 | $5.99 | +15% |
| 101 to 250 | $3.66 | $4.21 | +15% |
| 251 to 1,000 | $1.81 | $1.99 | +10% |
| 1,001 to 2,500 | $1.01 | $1.11 | +10% |
| 2,501 to 5,000 | $0.58 | $0.64 | +10% |
| 5,001 to 7,500 | $0.39 | $0.43 | +10% |
| 7,501 to 15,000 | $0.33 | $0.36 | +9% |
| 15,001 and up | $0.25 | $0.28 | +12% |
What a site pays per month:
| Jira users | Old price | New price | Increase per month | Increase per year (annual) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | $10.00 | $10.00 | $0.00 | $0.00 |
| 25 | $130.25 | $149.75 | $19.50 | $195.00 |
| 50 | $260.50 | $299.50 | $39.00 | $390.00 |
| 100 | $521.00 | $599.00 | $78.00 | $780.00 |
| 250 | $1,070.00 | $1,230.50 | $160.50 | $1,605.00 |
| 500 | $1,522.50 | $1,728.00 | $205.50 | $2,055.00 |
| 1,000 | $2,427.50 | $2,723.00 | $295.50 | $2,955.00 |
Example, 250 users. Old: 100 x $5.21 + 150 x $3.66 = $1,070.00. New: 100 x $5.99 + 150 x $4.21 = $1,230.50.

Should you renew Tempo before November 14?
If you are staying on Tempo, renewing before the deadline is the cheaper choice. Tempo's announcement says existing customers can renew at the old price through November 14, 2026 as long as the user tier stays the same. Renewals after that date are at the new price. If you have a quote from Tempo or a partner, the quoted price holds until the quote expires.
Tempo also warns that some quote or subscription changes can trigger a recalculation of the price, and says to check with your channel partner or account manager. Changing your user tier is one of those cases.
If the price is why you are looking around, compare the whole bill, not only the increase. The new price at 100 users is $599.00 a month. The same 100 users on Saguaro Hours list at $200.00 a month.
How Saguaro Hours is priced
Saguaro Hours for Jira is free for up to 10 users. Above that, it charges $2.00 per user per month for users 1 to 100, $1.50 for users 101 to 250 and $1.00 from user 251. Like every paid Jira Cloud app, it is billed for every user on the Jira license.
It covers weekly timesheets on Jira's own worklogs, team lead approval, billable flags and custom attributes, reports with CSV and Excel export, and a dashboard gadget. It does not have capacity planning, a public API, or Tempo's mobile and Slack apps. What it does and does not do next to Tempo: Tempo Timesheets alternative for Jira.
